Do you tip?
Gambians earn less than they need from day to day. If you are happy with the work they have done, they will be grateful for any amount of money you have to spare.
Do you give to beggars?
Well, it is up to you, but it is quite obvious that givers have made Gambians dependent on other people’s money. Showing people that work well done pays off, is a better motivation, and will benefit the future of the Gambia.
Do you want to help?
There is a desperate need for help in the Gambia. Many do not have a chance to build a future better than it is right now causing young men to leave the country and frustration among the remaining population. Building materials and practical help fixing damaged roofs, hospitals and doctors need equipment. School is expensive, so many need financial support to get an education. Practical knowledge and skills! Although we find people’s ability to do practically anything themselves, the quality is often poor, and having to keep rapairing gets expensive and tiring long term.
